APLMA appoints Dr. Mboi as Envoy

The Asia Pacific Leaders Malaria Alliance (APLMA) announced that Dr. Nafsiah Mboi has been appointed APLMA Envoy. APLMA is an alliance of Asian and Pacific heads of government formed to accelerate progress against malaria and to achieve an Asia Pacific free of malaria by 2030.

In her role as APLMA Envoy, Dr. Mboi will lead strategic priority-setting for APLMA and will guide APLMA’s engagement in global health diplomacy and country-level political engagement. Dr. Mboi will strategically shape regional malaria elimination and financing agendas by identifying and pursuing specific opportunities for leadership on these issues across the region.

Dr. Mboi has more than 40 years’ experience in national and global public health. She served as Indonesia’s Minister of Health and chaired the Board of the Global Fund to Fight HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
