Jintana Chaiwan, RN, MPH is an Evaluation Coordinator for Advocacy, Financing, and Sustainability at the UCSF Malaria Elimination Initiative (MEI). In this role, Jintana works directly with the national malaria program in Thailand to provide technical support for the development of the POR plan and piloting of the provincial level plan, which will include a process evaluation of the pilot activities. Jintana worked as the MEI RAI2E Research Field Manager-COMBAT study in Thailand and was responsible for the oversight, coordination, and monitoring of all study activities in the field for 3 years.

Prior to joining the MEI, Jintana served as a registered nurse in Thailand for 7 years, clinical research nurse, and ethical review manager for HIV/AIDs clinical trials at AMS-CMU & IRD research collaboration for 8 years. Jintana also worked as a M&E Technical Officer at Malaria Consortium for 6 years to provide technical support in M&E and surveillance at sub‐national levels and as coordinator for many malaria Thailand national surveys and operational research with Thailand malaria program. Jintana has a MPH from Chiang Mai University and a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Prince of Songkla University.
