Dr. Nana Yaw Peprah (MBChB, MPhil, MGCP) is the Deputy Programme Manager of the National Malaria Elimination Programme, Ghana Health Service. A public health physician specialized in epidemiology with a rich career in malaria. As the Deputy Programme Manager, Dr. Peprah supports the strategic direction and planning for all malaria interventions in Ghana.

Having worked with the National Malaria Elimination Programme for about ten years, he is an invaluable mind behind the development and implementation of malaria interventions including entomological interventions in all national platforms. He has supervised and implemented innovations in the implementation of interventions leading to a reduction in malaria mortality.

Dr. Peprah plays a vital role in academia and research from his engagements in public health. At the School of Public Health, University of Ghana, he served as Academic Coordinator for the Workshop on M&E for Malaria Planning from 2016 till 2022 and currently facilitates the coursework. He also lectures part-time at the School of Public Health in malaria epidemiology. He mentors students of Ghana Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Training Programme contributing to raising the next generation of public health scientists. He has been instrumental in the development of several national guidelines and plans for malaria control in Ghana and beyond, as well as authoring several articles on public health and disease control.

He is a member of the Ghana Medical Association, Field Epidemiologist and Laboratory Network, American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, and a member of the Ghana College of Physicians (Public Health).
