Medical Doctor graduated from Eduardo Mondlane University in Mozambique. Currently studying a PhD in International Medicine at the University of Barcelona. As Director of the National Malaria Control Programme in Mozambique for more than 10 years, I am coordinating all malaria-related activities throughout the country. I am also been involved in different evaluations of the impact of malaria, such as routine data analyses and evaluation of the strategic plan. In recent years, I have dedicated myself in mathematical modelling, where different scenarios are drawn up to assess the impact of different interventions and identify optimal strategies for malaria control and elimination. I have been the principal investigator of many research studies related to observational analyses, implementation analyses and the feasibility, acceptability and protective efficacy of interventions.
