Samuel Oppong is an experienced Public Health Expert with a demonstrated history of working in the field of Research, Surveillance, Monitoring and Evaluation. Skilled in Epidemiology, Health Systems Strengthening, Program Evaluation, Malaria, and Health information systems. He has several years of experience in setting up monitoring and evaluation systems to enhance program monitoring and evaluation. He also has practical experience handling small- and large-scale programs and projects. Professionally, he has served as a monitoring evaluation specialist and Malaria Data Advisor with the Ghana National Malaria Elimination Programme and led the establishment of several digital platforms for the NMEP including the National Malaria Data Repository which includes a very comprehensive entomological module. He also led the analysis of the country’s surveillance data that resulted in the development of the National Malaria Elimination Strategic plan. He is certified Project Management Professional and was the project coordinator for the Entomological Adaptive Sampling Framework project for Ghana. He is currently the NMEP country rep for the MTG project and a co-chair for IO4.
