APMEN and APLMA collaborate to eliminate malaria in Asia Pacific

On Friday, October 17th, the Asia Pacific Malaria Elimination Network (APMEN) and the Asia Pacific Leaders Malaria Alliance (APLMA) met at the 9th Malaria Elimination Group meeting in Sri Lanka and signed an agreement that formalizes their shared vision to eliminate malaria in the Asia Pacific region by 2030.

APMEN and APLMA bring unique areas of expertise: APMEN provides a forum for country collaboration, information sharing, advocacy and capacity building to achieve and sustain elimination, while APLMA works to foster high-level political commitment and helps close financial gaps for malaria control and elimination in the region. The two organizations will work together to maximize their respective strengths to end malaria in the Asia Pacific by 2030.
