Comprehensive Larviciding Evaluation and Assessment FRamework (CLEAR)

To advance malaria elimination National Malaria Programs are increasingly prioritizing larviciding as a complementary tool to insecticide-treated nets and indoor residual spraying to reduce mosquito populations and address residual transmission. The Comprehensive Larviciding Evaluation and Assessment FRamework (CLEAR) provides a structured approach to evaluate the implementation, effectiveness, and cost-effectiveness of larviciding programs, building on guidance from the World Health Organization and emphasizing context-specific data, community engagement, and best practices to support scale-up and informed decision-making. This Framework was developed to help NMPs overcome evidence gaps, attract funding, and scale larviciding as part of an integrated malaria control strategy.
